Tahquitz offers every rider at every level of expertise an opportunity to show their horse in a positive, competitive environment that enables them to evaluate their riding skills and their horses’ abilities in a way that encourages ongoing development of both horse and rider.
Ranging from mock shows at Tahquitz itself, where riders can show with friends and neighbors in an informal setting, to the Saddle Series at Willowbrook Riding Club in nearby Desert Hot Springs, a popular venue for children and beginning riders, to a range of USEF “C” and ” B” -rated shows throughout Southern California, including Ride America at Carlsbad CA, the Victory series of shows at the Oaks in San Juan Capistrano, and the Wine Country Horse Shows at Galway Downs in Temecula CA.
For advanced riders, Tahquitz travels to and maintains a regular presence at many USEF “A” and “AA” - rated shows throughout the Southwestern United States, including the HITS’ Desert Circuit in Thermal CA, Del Mar Show Park, Del Mar, CA, Tucson Winter Festival in Tucson AZ, and others in USEF Region 10. In the summer months, showing opportunities are also available in Calgary, Canada, home of the internationally recognized Spruce Meadows shows and at the Strang Ranch in Colorado.
