Pasture Board

Pastures are 5 acres each with safe vinyl fencing and green grass most of the year! Horses in training and/or lessons will have priority for pasture reservations. Pasture horses have access to a tack room and grooming area. Blanketing is available for horses that need it in the winter months. Supplements are the responsibility of the owner. Feeding supplements in the pastures can be arranged for a fee of $90 per month. We are happy to keep your horse on a shoeing or trim schedule, but checks must be left made out to the farrier (Dirk Ballard) at the time of service or an additional $20 will be applied. You may also schedule your own farrier.

- Pasture includes hay and facility use $280.00/month

- Blanketing (in pasture winter months) $30.00/month

- Daily Feeding (supplements to horses
in the pasture) $90.00/month

- Pasture horses may be charged a
“catch” fee for the farrier. $ 10.00

Barn Board

Stalls are big with solid dividers. Horses boarded in the barn have full use of facilities. Rates include cleaning twice a day, hay, blanketing, and turn-out. Grain and supplements are to be purchased by customer and bagged for EASY daily feeding. Please remember this is a bonus service provided by Tahquitz. There is a tack room and feed room in the barn for all stall horses’ tack and feed. If feed cannot be purchased or prepared by customer for easy access and feeding, additional charges will apply.

- 16′ X 12′ fully covered stall (shavings) $600.00/mo.

- 16′ X 24′ fully covered stall (sand) $500.00/mo.

If space is limited, priority is given to horses in training and/or lessons.

Training Fee:

All boarders will be charged a minimum monthly “training” fee September through May equal to $250. 00 per month. Customers have the choice of scheduling lessons or rides to offset this fee, or simply paying the fee and not taking any lessons. This will not affect most of the horses and is designed to keep everyone boarding at Tahquitz taking advantage of lessons and training. It is the Customer’s responsibility to schedule lessons balanced throughout the month to offset any extra charges.

We appreciate at least a month’s notice before horses leave or return. All accounts must be in order before horses are allowed to leave or return.
